Quiet Budget · Terms of service

The terms, in plain words.

Effective date: July 18, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Echo House Labs Inc. ("we", "us") governing your use of the Quiet Budget app ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

§ 01Your license

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and to the app store's rules. For apps downloaded from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies and, where it conflicts with these Terms, governs.

§ 02Quiet Plus subscriptions and purchases

The app is free to use as a complete manual budgeter. Quiet Plus is an optional paid upgrade offered as:

  • an auto-renewing monthly subscription;
  • an auto-renewing yearly subscription; and
  • a one-time "lifetime" purchase.

Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation of purchase. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage or cancel a subscription in your store account settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase, and the trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy; in Canada, Quiet Plus is charged in Canadian dollars at the same figures as the US price — CAD $2.99 per month, CAD $24.99 per year, and CAD $69.99 lifetime — not a fluctuating conversion of the US dollar amount. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, except where a refund is required by law.

§ 03Acceptable use

Use the app lawfully. Don't reverse-engineer, resell, or attempt to circumvent purchase or entitlement checks, and don't use the app in a way that harms the service or other users.

§ 04Your data and privacy

Quiet Budget is local-first; your budgeting data stays on your device unless you enable optional sync. Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

§ 05Not financial advice

Quiet Budget is a personal budgeting tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and nothing in the app should be relied on as such. You are responsible for your own financial decisions.

§ 06Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.

§ 07Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Echo House Labs Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Your data is yours to export at any time; keep your own backups.

§ 08Changes

We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to the Terms, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

§ 09Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you where you live.
